Your First Visit

Experience

After scheduling your initial visit to NMA Dental Group, we will get you prepared for your first visit. Please plan on being at our Gold Coast office for at least two hours. You can expect to have a thorough dental hygiene cleaning during your time with us for most patients.

We’ll ask that you fill out and sign any necessary dental documents and paperwork before we take the time to review your medical history. From there, you’ll get the following:

  • A set of digital x-rays
  • A comprehensive exam
  • An oral cancer screening
  • An occlusal (bite) exam
  • A periodontal (gum) exam
  • An extraoral exam

Next, we’ll take the time to discuss what types of smile goals you have and how we can help you make them all a reality.

We can discuss your best options to fix your smile flaws (if any) before reviewing our next steps to begin treatment.

Save yourself some time at your first appointment and fill out your patient forms before coming to the office. Don’t forget to bring your completed documents with you on the day of your appointment.

To provide high-quality Chicago dental care to as many people as possible, our office is set up to cater to all of your needs. We’re completely wheelchair accessible in our elevator, entrance, and restroom. Our dental office also features:

Payment Options

and Insurance

NMA Dental Group is a fee-for-service office and is out-of-network for dental insurances. As a courtesy to our patients, we have a patient coordinator who can happily submit your insurance pre-estimates before your treatment begins, if requested, and processes the insurance claims when you finish treatment. We ask that you please bring your insurance card and other relevant information to your initial examination so that we can help you quickly obtain the maximum insurance benefits.

We accept assignments of benefits in most cases — meaning we collect the insurance benefits (excluding Delta Dental plans) and bill you for the remaining balance. We also offer an in-house payment plan for affordable, manageable monthly payments to complete your dental treatment. Ask us to learn more when we’re creating and scheduling your treatment plan. We also offer a “care to share” referral bonus for sending your friends and family to NMA Dental Group!
